I just read somehwere that you shoudl sand the synchronizer cones with 120 grit sandpaper. Should i do this? i dont mind taking it apart again if its important. What exactly is the synchronizer cone,which needs to be sanded? Actually you want to sand the male surface (the gear side of the cone ) so that the brass syncro ring grabs it to aid shifting.
