My dad's Super Bee has a 22' radiator in it with a 7-Blade fan and a fan clutch and I never recall the motor ever getting hot. It has been driven to LA and to Sacramento a few times and has always stayed cool. I agree with Herb, 7-blade fan with a fan clutch, or an electric fan with a switch should work just fine.

Since 99% of the time the engine runs perfectly cool, i think i will look into the electric fan option. I always wondered though does the phyical mass of the fan in front of the radiator stop some air flow when it's not being used though?

That is what I would wonder about, never know until you try it.

But if I were you, I would reinstall a 7 blade fan and clutch. I'm almost sure that would solve your problem without any load on your electrical system and won't block any air flow. My
