I run an a factory cooler set up from the cop cars in an AAR 'Cuda that sees over 200 miles a year in road course laps at Watkins Glen. I get my need for speed miles at a time instead of seconds at a time. 130 mph on the back straight.

The factory set up works very well at wicking btu's from the oil. It's a bypass set up and does not decrease oil pressure but actually helps it.
A larger cooler would take more btu's out of the oil but I don't see the need.

The cool oil is sprayed right at the timing chain thru the hollow bolt and keeps the chain cooler which helps it's longetivity. The down side is it causes a little more oil windage at least in a small block-but when running hot laps you have to deal with the windage anyways-that breather tank to the left in the pic is for the windage. Small price to pay for miles of smiles.
