I'ld call Holley tech and ask them. I run the 9375, but I converted it from a 3 circuit to a 2 circuit. I believe both carbs you listed are 3 circuit carbs. I don't think the 3 circuit is best for foot brakers. I know that the 9375 is an annular booster carb, and I think that the 8896 is not.

You should be able to borrow a Dominator and adapter from someone just to try. For a foot braker, I would think that a 2 circuit carb with annular boosters would work best, but I am not a carb guru.

My car weighs 3450 and I have a 499" wedge that runs 6.9s in the 1/8. When I went from the 950 to the Dominator I gained about 1 1/2 mph, but basically ETed the same because I believe that I have maxed out my stock un-reinforced body.
