1 stage looks more original on these old musclecars, orange peel and all.

I agree if you going for the true old oem look or have an org car there will be orange peel in one place or another.

I was gonna post on the light Blue 70 Runner so called surviver car because it looked so straight and perfect for old single stage paint.

My 70 runner had factory orange peel as does my 70 e body...IMO base/clear is for showing that laser straight body...the older single stage is much more forgiving in coverage, ease of painting and upkeep.

As mentioned it is hard to keep met paint equal, I mix everything in one new 5 gallon bucket and keep it stiring during the whole process so I hope to get equal pots of paint in the gun, dont know what the factory used 35-40 years ago but I use a simple base old school gun (primer gun) on all old stuff.......im either good or lucky......I think its more luck.
