Light car,w-5 headed n/a small block should be fine.Since it will be a street car,I would not like the extra weight up front.All said and done,won't that be about 250 lbs extra with the blower set up?.I agree a blower belongs on a 9 sec car or faster.Even though they look cool as hell.Here's a thought.How about one of those turbo's that mount near the end the exhaust sytem.(depends on how you're running the exhaust)I know there not as efficent/or cool as the intercooled, under the hood unit's,but a little more simple,Might just give you that little extra ooompfh needed.My other concern would be the cost of parts for the trans to stay together with The blower set-up.Save the blower for a street rod.
