Jim's 66 is finished and has been fired up.We just haven't had time to take photos and post. The car was fitted with a set of grey American Torque Thrust wheels. The only thing Jim has to decide is weather to leave the original exterior paint with it's patina or repaint the car.The engine compartment was done as well as the underside of the hood. The car was an original "undercoat car" and was left as such with just a fresh over lay of black rust bullit. The only apparent outward changes from stock was the addition of a 8 quart oil pan and TTI headers with 3" stainless exhaust and a billit Firecore distributer and wires. The drive train retains the original numbers matching engine and trans with only"slightly modified internals".Jim has very carefully cataloged, packaged and documented any and all original parts and oddities. While he had the interior out he found the production "data plate"stamped PREP FOR HEMI under the rug with a attaching paper clip.It is similar to the fender tag.
Hopefully we can't get some pictures up soon,Jim is leaving for his winter stay in Flordia soon and has made arrangments to store the car at BGR for the winter.
We thank Jim for the oppertunity to be a part of this "special project"
