So there could be more than 1 car made from the original, that would cause a fight
Years ago there were major problems with the likes of D-Type Jags, one guy gets a crashed body, repairs what he can, replaces what he can't repair then he gets a similar engine from a sedan but changes the carbs etc to look like the race version while another guy on the other side of town has a genuine set of mechanicals so he thinks he is within his rights to build a body around it so he has a genuine car as well. There were more "genuine original" cars at some shows than the total number made by the factory.
The Aussies have the same thing with Phase 3 GTHO Falcons, there are probably close to 4 times more about now than were originally made by Ford
I always thought that was the case here too in the states with '69 SS Camaros
Always seemed to be way more around than produced.
