Help me understand. If overfilling will do nothing, why do people's trans vent out the TOP when they do it, and that is about 5 gallons higher then the fluid level?

Just trying to understand. And this post is about a TF-727, so leave the irrelavant stuff out. You are a professional, no?

As you can see, in a TF727, the front drum is very close to the recommended fluid level (near the case/pan line).




if you overfill it enough it will vent but 1 quart isn't that much normally to get a 727 to vent it will have to be more than 1 quart.
