I agree with Jay. The deeper the gear the more prone to noise.
I got a se t of 4.56's that you can hear over the headers. I am the second owner, and both of us had them professionally set up but at different shops. granted when I got them the pattern was set so curing the singing was not an option. Don't get hot and work fine for what they are used for.
Think that you are noisy - listen to some of teh 18 wheelers go down the highway.
