It only costs a few hundred bucks more to do the 4" crank stroker motor. And the crank is only about $100 more the grinding the 30 year old stock peice. I think it's crazy to not go the stroker route even though I have been 10.20s with a .040 standard stroke 360 at 3100lbs. Now it has run 9.68 at 136 and does this, with a stroker crank 360. Still home ported junkyard heads, 587 castings, .590 flat tappet cam, flat top pistons, and runs on gasoline, 110 octane.
