so, interesting plot now.....it thickens. After putting the stock orange ecu, everything was fine, until i drove the car for 2 hours straight all highway....then i took my exit and as i came to a stop, car dies. I'm thinking to myself not again. I ended up putting the chrome POS back in the car to get home. The chrome one does not shut off the car, but has the high rpm issue.

so it looks like my original shutting off issue was not the balast resistor, but the orange box, i thought it was the balast resistor since when i changed it and the ecu at the same time the car never shut off again.

Today i picked up a new mopar orange box fromt he dealer, installed it, and i hope this one works.......i have yet to start the car!!!! i'll update after the test drive.
