I guess I could get a driveshaft from a junk yard that takes 1350s, cut it down myself and put good u-joints and billet yokes on it. Will that be strong enough?



You can't cut it down unless you can balance it. Have a good shop build a heavy wall shaft or go with moly or alum. Most heavy duty truck shops have a drive line shop and can build custom driveshafts.
