Agreed if it's something I'm gonna be using semi often. But these, I have 2 of these tranny's in progress now and it might be 3 months or 3 years before I need them again..
I went by the local dealership where I have buddies in parts and of which I've borrowed tools from before and my buddy Jeff couldn't find, had bare spots on the board where they're supposed to be.


The plate with the slot - used to check depth for the #1 thrust bearing shim is exactly .500” thick. You don’t need that tool. Just use a straight edge and do the math.
