Property-freedom, for lack of a better tern, is a double-edged sword.

I loved my last place, basically in the woods of N Idaho, but:
Had to do the plowing & maintenance of the gravel road.
Nobody would ante up to re-gravel, and even dust-control was primarily at my expense.
Then a few years ago, a gal a few doors down took on a renter that turned that property into an open junkyard.
Everything imaginable was strewn all over the place, and there was no means of dealing with it.
One snowy day, he took exception to my plowing and lit into me on my property in an incoherent rant: F'n this & that, gonna sue over dust control, etc.

That was the last straw, and I sold the place and moved into a nice suburban neighborhood.
I've pretty much adapted to civilization again laugh2 but I do miss my trees and shop space.
But Life is definitely easier...
