growing up in the suburbs east of Cleveland Ohio we had: GHOULARDI until '66 (too young for his show) followed by HOOLIHAN & BIG CHUCK thru the '70s + (CBS 8 late night Friday) SUPERHOST in the '70s + (WUAB 43 Saturday afternoons) the GHOUL in the '70s (WKBF 61 late night Saturday)
I remember Ghoulardi (EIrnie Anderson) very well.Friday night at 11.He was just crazy funny.He had a run in with a news woman named Dorthy Fuildheim from channel 5 and it was all over for him.Last I heard was he did television in California.Maybe Rocky will chime in,I'm sure he remembers him.
From the lannd of Cleve myself, just missed Ghoulardi, but did grow up with Big Chuck and Little John, Elvira, and the Ghoul. Superhost wasn't really late night, more Saturday afternoon.
I used to like Mystery Science Theater..
We haven't seen much of recent movies, basically all awful now. Mostly just startling moments and blood, nothing like old stuff that made one think. The shower scene in Psycho is well known, you never actually saw a stabbing, just a knife in the air and blood in the drain.
