I have owned several Stills, ran many more.

The only times I have had any trouble starting one were after ethanol bases gas destroyed the tank to carburetor line or if any water was in the gas. One tiny drop of water can plug the orifice in the carb.

The manual says you can use E10 but I use non ethanol in everything except the daily drivers. I did however leave gas in the saw over the winter. I dumped it out and mixed up fresh before I tried to start it. No start. I'll add some seafoam and see if that clears it up.

I have a Huskvarna blower that always starts right up. Maybe I should have bought one of their saws.

IMO at the worst at this point is a new spark plug. Does it have a "primer bulb" ? Prime it about 3 - 5 times. squeeze the throttle trigger and push the lever to the choke position hold it there and release the throttle trigger, it should stay there in the choke position. Then pull the starter cord just until you hear or feel an ignition "pop". At that point after a "pop" push the lever from the choke position to the start position and pull the starter cord and it should fire and high idle. If not then you need to either clean the spark plug or replace it. With a clean or new plug start it the way I explained.

This is a new model that does not have a primer bulb. Your instructions are exactly what the manual says. Ill pull the plug tomorrow. and try the seafoam if needed.

Thanks to everyone who has responded.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
