Place i used to work at i had a digital thermometer in my area. A few days in July it would go up to 97. It got so hot that the alarm system would trigger from the heat/fire sensors. All day in that heat takes it's toll and you don't have any energy to do anything. I never experienced "dry heat" but there was a discussion on the radio i listened to. A guy moved from the Phily/Jersey area to Phoenix and he said he would never want to go back to high heat and humidity.
