Ran the KOS race at Rockingham this past weekend. We had 8 cars in the race. There were a couple more that broke testing the day before.
My test run that morning didn't quite go as planned. Big wheelie, had to pedal, but no damage. Was running Lenny Melton driving Patrick Calvey's '70 road runner. It is Tony Scopa's old car from the old KOS days. He treed me bad...it had been over a year since I put the car in the beams, lol.

fast fwd to 1 hour 57 minutes. It's a long video.

I lost first round to a low 8 sec hellcat. I made a stupid mistake and didn't put a fresh bottle in the car after my test run. Made a shock adjustment and kept the front down, but it was just slow.
I brought 4 bottles to the track and forgot that one of them only had enough for one hit. Of course that's the one I grabbed to put in the car that morning. rolleyes After my first test run, I didn't change it out b/c I thought it should be good for another pass. Oh well.
I'm very outclassed in this race, but it's still fun to do. My car was 3760 lbs w/ me in it at the track scales on Saturday. Pretty sure my combo could be 2900 lbs by the rules or something like that, lol. I could remove the motor and still be overweight.
Still had fun even though the racing didn't quite work out the way I hoped. Family was there and had a great time.
Leon Hudson (very fast '65 cuda) won the race over track owner Dan VanHorn (very fast hellcat).
