In the days before Lokar and such, I made KD provisions by running 1/8" (1x19) aircraft cable inside steel brake tubing flared at each end. My dual Holley blower setup used a mechanical pushrod throttle linkage with a bellcrank mounted at the rear of the 6-71. The bellcrank both pushed the carbs open and pulled the KD lever from the rear. The tubing mounted on a bracket at the engine and another on the trans tailhousing bolts similar to Lokar. A spring is mandatory to pull the trans lever forward and the trans lever travel needs to closely match the carb lever travel. I don't have pics of the cable setup but here's the car it was mounted on circa 1976.
