If I was a track owner, 1st thing I'd do is try like crazy to get the track on a Historical Registry/Landmark/Whatever that State calls it.
Then it's there for all time, though noise ordinances or days of operation might be applied.
I love that about Firebird in the Boise, ID area...If I move there, I can play without worrying how long it'll exist.

Maybe that couldn't be done, or he didn't think of it, but property value scenarios and tax revenues have been the death of a lot of tracks.
