How thick is your concrete? I've heard a normal 2 post needs 4.5" of concrete thickness to be safe, and I'm not sure mine meets it.

My garage is barn shaped with a super tall roof but has a little room above it that limits the height. I don't know if I can rip the floor out of the upstairs room to gain roof height without the structure falling down, but I'd love to do that to put a full height 2 post in.

My concrete is not what I paid for. I paid for extra thick under the lift but I also missed the location by about a foot. Still should have been thick under it, but it’s not. Minimum requirement is 4.25 inches 3000 psi slab. I bought a 5 inch slab and it’s 4500 psi. Where I broke through drilling the studs it was right around 5 inches so I’m good but not fantastic. I was drilling deeper than recommended. Instructions said drill 4 inches deep I tried to drill 5 inches. Eventually settled on 4.25 inches deep holes.
