I'm pretty sure the upper drier side bolt holes is not a blind hole; it is opened on the back side into the lifter valley and relies on drip oil through that hollow bolt dripping onto the original tabs twocents

my memory also getting a bit / hollow bolt upper R ( passenger side) which is open to residual oil in the valley. Oil drips down onto sheetmetal piece secured by lower bolt and oils chain. This was on the 340's with the roller type chain. not sure on other years or applications'
1/4 or 5/16? i was sure they were 5/16's but now you have me thinking they were 1/4-20 grade 8 twocents
