The aftermarket stuff saves very little. The geometry isn't as good as the stock stuff. The steering is definitely stiffer to turn. The steering radius is less. Trim the stock K frame. Make chrome moly strut rods and steering shaft. Use light brakes. The difference will be slight. Your wallet will be way heavier though. Doug
