I'm not sure it matters, maybe it does maybe it doesn't. I'm pretty sure that everyone tries to build a high quality lifter but perhaps some shops aren't as good as others. I've used Comp hyd roller lifters up past 7000 rpm without any problem but other people say they won't work. Same with other brands. We test a lot of motors where the customer has bought some off brand stuff and it usually works. RPM is the killer. If you're going to spin 6000 rpm then probably anything works. 7000 rpm then maybe only a few lifters work. 8000 rpm might only work with certain LS type hyd roller lifters.
