It seems kinda subjective to me, other than what is your lifter to bore clearance? How much PSI are you getting when priming? I find it hard to believe that bushed lifters would have excessive clearance and find it even harder to believe bushed lifter bores would be exposing the oil band shruggy could you post a video?

FWIW my 440 seems to leak a “lot” but it made at least 45 psi on the engine stand. It only makes 15 or so psi at hot idle shruggy Shop that built the short block attribute the low oil pressure to loose bearing clearance. I think leakage around the lifters is part of it also. I did restrict oil to the drivers side lifter galley (solid roller)
