The dorman's doo look nice. I've been using these GASKET ASST. LINKY And have taken to wrapping the plug threads with teflon tape

Sure do, keeps them from making a good ground to the cylinder head and is great for comebacks, then i can upgrade the plug wires and other things beer laugh2

back to the drain plug, any chance you have a 12mm x 1.75 bolt n a 1/2x20 opening? I ask as they are close diameter and pitch wise, may mate and tighten but with little thread engagement. In over 50 years I have never encountered a drain plug that kept loosening. shruggy
