My early production (sold new in Nov. of 1968) 1969 Dart GTS 383 car has the sequence number stamped on the trunk lid where your looking, it has the sequence stamped upside down on the radiator core support also, not the complete VIN numbers shruggy
I bought the car the first time in 1991 and bought it back in 2009 or so after selling it in 2002 shruggy
that car came with one major factory stamping error new from the factory that I know of, it is on the dash VIN TAG, the 2 or 3 is directly stamped over the other number in the middle of where they both should not be shruggy
my message is the factory is operated by humans and they do MAKE MISTAKES now and then shruggy
