If yours is built for that you should be good, I would look very closely at the reaction times and 60 ft. time when testing using the 2nd or high gear starts up
I change the fluid in my S/P Powrglide last year from some magic HP after market expensive drag race fluid to straight Valvoline type F non synthetic and that improved up my reaction times and 60 ft. times both shock up boogie


Have done several 727’s for 2nd gear start cars.

Nothing special to worry about.

One of the cars was 2700 lbs. on the starting line and ran 8.60’s.
