Well most people here know that I lost my 69 Dart GTS and my wife's 78 Pontiac T/A to a lithium ion battery I just put in my drill charger, this was in 2013. I doubt the technology has gotten that much better by now. I worked for Motorola Battery from 1995-98 and could see issues then, and this was just with a little cell phone battery...
The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.
