Dave was thrown out of the Indy Nationals two years later running that quick and fast after winning the class in teardown in either 1974 or 1975 , the wheelbase was 1/8 inch to short rant
He was one of many sportsman racers sponsored by Mopar in the NHRA sportsman classes before they went BK in 1980 due to the unfair weight advantage NHRA had given to the Chevy Pro Sttock racers racing against the Hemi cars in 1973. down
