Is the top, two pin dark coloured block the I/P for the power supply? (I'm guessing it is since it's the only two pin socket). You may need to check the polarity of your cig lighter.
Something tells me in the dark recesses of my mind, that they are wired reverse to what most manufacturers of cig lighter PSU adapters expect. But I could be wrong shruggy.
