healthy 440 with 30" tires gears are 3.55 car weighs 3000

Either will be equipped with a hydraulic clutch.

Each kit purchased from dealer with new or rebuilt parts as a kit,

The TKO 5-speed and all parts is about $6000

The 833 4-speed and all parts is about $5000

nostalgia or originality don't matter, looks don't matter, whats the best transmission for drive-ability, longevity, fun factor?

Thanks Henry

The TKX should be better in every respect except price and loss of "originality." Overdrive will let you use 4.10 or 4.56 gears and still cruise in the fast lane @ a reasonable RPM. As it is now, with 3.54 gears and 28" tires, my engine runs faster than I care for @ cruise while the car cruises slower than I care for down
