Like everything in life we all have a learning curve. I purchased the right stuff rear disc brake kit that uses the GM metric rear calipers, and saw a topic on here about needing to adjust the E brake lever to limit travel, then bleeding the rear calipers. So I got those things done and that caused another issue. The kit originally came with two equal length E brake cables, but the 66 coronet does not use that type of set up and I didn’t want to modify the car. I called “The Right Stuff” about the issues and they said to order and use a set of the original drum brake emergency cables, so I did. Once those were installed the drivers cable was always short, but worked with a bracket that I had made/modified to help with the different lengths of the two cable ends. Once I adjusted the E brake arms though the cable would pull the E brake by just setting the car on the floor. So I called them back and the suggested to call Control Cables out in California. I have to give them credit they sent me a diagram to use and measure what was needed, also put an adjuster on the frame bracket side to fine tune any difference in length and it worked out great. I’d suggest them if you have any needs for different cables. The first two pictures are the original drum brake style cables and the last two are the new E brake cable installed from control cables.
