If you want a tag, get one made. It's your car do what you want. If you were happen to ever sell the car, just be upfront with the buyer that the tag is a remake, not original. Some people just take things to seriously, like if it wasn't original than it shouldn't be on there. How many cars would still be on the road if it weren't for non original parts/sheet metal, etc.
Either that, or just remove the fender tag and sell it for what it is, a car without a tag, but with a broadcast sheet.
