Any time you compress air you will heat it up, I've seen 130 IAT on a pump gas Roots blown with 7.5 lbs. of boost at 7300 RPM making 924 HP , that motor had a Littlefield 10-71 blower with two carb shop 1050 CFM Dominator blower carbs on it, it was 12% under driven for those tests using 91 octane CA pump swill back in 2001, we switch the pulleys around to get 13% over drive and got 12.0 lbs. of pressure at 6500 RPM making 1027 HP when the motor started going into detonation on 110 octane race gas with 190 F IAT shock shruggy
Hot air expands, especially when compressed, and that leans the motor out. Cooling the intake air will make more power based on more air and fuel getting into the motor which will make more power up scope
Good luck on this wrench, you can fix it thumbs
