I remember helping a friend change the points and condenser on his 1958 Mercury 383 two barrel motor, it was on a Friday night and we where going to go trolling for females in a town 30 miles to the west, the rubbing block on the new points broke off about five miles from where we going and by the time we fix it all the good girls devil where hook up and taken whiney

Maybe it was meant to be for that nite.! Lord knows what trouble you would have gotten yourself into. LOL
Spent all nite trying to get the points right in a 4-speed 70 Goat, bad dwell meter. Bill literally wore that car out in one year. The things we did without all the ‘toys’ of today.
