The black color you want is Landau Black. Like others said, clean clean clean your parts. Then use SEM Adhesion Promoter per the can instructions. You will need to spray a light mist coat first and wait 15-20 minutes. Then spray a med/heavy coat and wait another 15-20 minutes. Then you can spray your color. You only need to "mist" the Landau black on the part(s). A couple light mist coats is all you really need. If you mist it on, it will be hard to tell the part(s) are painted.

I've also used the Pearl White from Herb's. It worked out really nice. I had to change some bucket seat hinge covers from black to white. I sprayed them with SEM White first, then sprayed the Herb's Pearl white over the top.
