I used a Denso unit from a 1990 Toyota pick-up and it works perfectly. I mounted it low on Andy's motor plate and wired it up like Greg did but when I salvaged it off the truck I took the connector with it. It charges a constant 14.8 volts at idle and keeps my battery charged all the time.
