I don't think you'll find a local source for a one wire alternator. Generally those one wire alternators are OEM alternators that have been reworked to make them one-wire. If you have a local electrical shop that repairs alternators they can probably build you one, but you can't walk into a NAPA and order a one wire alternator for a Geo or something like that. The OEM's don't use one wire alternators since it is a crappy design. Drag racers don't care about crappy designs, they just like stuff that is simple. That is why drag racers don't use power valves or vacuum advance and stuff like that. Just because it works for drag racing doesn't mean it is a good idea for a street car.
