I’ve done it, extendable magnet taped to a stick. Position the plug on the magnet and slide in the hole and hold it there. Take another wooden stick and slide it in and hold the plug in place. Pull out the stick with the magnet. A little grease on the plug will help hold it in place after you pull both sticks out. Took longer to type this than do it.
