The 4 pin module is really the one to use with this basic swap, where you're carbureted and are controlling advance with a mopar distributor.
I have not researched this to death and don't feel I know all the ins and outs of it, but I believe the 7 pin or 8 pin module is still useful... I believe it is the one you want to use with EFI/megasquirt with the computer providing spark control.
