To summarize everything they have told me... you want as near to a stock cam as possible in everything....at least, stock idle characteristics...to make your calibration easy.
If you want more power, put a turbo on it.

That sounds like my son. He has had SRT-4 Neons for years. He had one that would actually keep up with a mild 360 powered Scamp I had a few years ago.

Whenever he starts to rag on me about carbs and big cams I tell him he is half the man I hoped he would be since he likes 4 banger stuff.
