Broke a pinion under load. Fixed the rear and the driveshaft. The transmission passed the "output shaft turns easy one direction, tight the other" test. Drove around, everything seemed fine. Him..."Do I really need to check the transmission since it's working OK?" Me..."I would." Had a "little vibration."

Half the rollers were not engaged. It moved and drove, but wouldn't have survived a hard hit on a sticky track. Transmission has a brake in it. Not sure whose or how it works so I'm not sure of how it runs the rear band, but I will try to find out..

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
