On a carburetor set up, the progressive set up is a flexible system. Center carb first, out board second when needed. Since the center is roughly 250 cfm and the two out boards are 500 cfm each, (approximately 950 cfm in a 4bbl. rating) I have to agree with the MP writing that is a excellent dual purpose set up that is (probably) only beat by the RPM-AG.

I don’t so readily see a 950 up top a RPM AG being on target for a dual purpose carb on a dual plane intake, but people vary....

Now, the FI-Tec opens all at once. While the FI will monitor everything and make the best of it. I’m sure better than a carb as well. I only see an edge in fuel performance consumption leering to the reported better drivability. Top end HP? Good question!!!!

I still like how the carb system works progressively better.
