I have a 71 Dart with a 440, runs 10.20's. Backhalf ladder bar car, weighs 3000 # with me in it. 12.5-1 compression, .570 lift 260@50 solid cam. M1 with a 1050 dominator.

I currently run 110 octane turbo blue. Radiator is a 22 x 17 core aluminum with 2 10" ebay fans in a 1" deep shroud. I believe the fans flow about 1500 cfm total. The block is a half fill.

This is a drag only car. On days when the temps are greater than 85, it is usually at 200 returning to my pit spot, Occasionally it will push over that and when going rounds and they start hot lapping us at the end of the day, I have trouble keeping the temp down below 180 by the time I get back to the staging lanes.

I don't have room for a big single 16" fan as the radiator sits too close to the water pump, electric in a stock aluminum housing.

I am considering switching to E85. Will this help this situation? I have been told going to alcohol will, but wondered about trying E85.

Thanks,
Mike
