So the Larry Shepard-written book is WRONG. Surprise, surprise!
He's the guy who told us about the "thinwall" late blocks.
He's the guy who told us that all we needed to choose a camshaft was the lift because we were too stupid to understand 0.050 lift duration.
He gives engineers a bad name. Yet he still keeps getting published. He's like the writer who calculated the ET for a 1.000G acceleration from start line to finish line and came up with the quickest ET possible. I don't remember what it was, but probably hundreds of thousands of quicker ETs have been run.
