What was the conclusion on this... What did you end up doing. I have a 04 5.7 with VVT pistons eagle heads and a 6.1 cam. Im putting it in a 78 D100 with a stockish 727 and 323 gear... Im thinking advancing it also, but the question how far...According to the Larry Shepard g3 hemi engine book,A stock 6.1 cam has a 108 deg centerline and a eagle 5.7 cam is around 114 deg
