I agree with Sloan's response.We've had these headers since they were originally made back in 1981.The set I have now was bought from Herb McCandless YEARS ago.I didn't run into any problems with the installation,nor have I ever had to cut or weld tubes.I agree that the engine is not placed correctly.I use the same set and switch back and forth between 383 and 440 engines with no problems.
