Yes, it's an astronomical cost up-front, but genuinely, most of us have $10,000+ in 40-year old blocks getting 10mpg on 93-octane. This is a drop in the bucket for someone looking for tier-1 reliability, versatility, and performance from a proven oem application. Not only that, there is no way you could lose even a penny on the resale market in terms of the upgrade.
